Back in 2000 you could see an average of around 10 people in the forum at a time. You could also see how many posts each member had posted. The same core people came here everyday. It was wild times back then that google would shift so fast that you could hit top 10 for many key words one day and lost the next. You could do minor page changes and watch as you got up in ranking. It really was the wild west for ranking back then. I think Google killed the SEO market on purpose. It was around the time when google ads came online and their revenues went big by going public.
I as many don't come back as often. I used to come here dozens of times a day. This site helped me create a very large business and I love the site for that. I would like to Thank Jim Wilson for founding the site [
link] that got this all started. After he passed away it was like Bill Gates leaving Microsoft. Now we have that mess of Vista to deal with. I am scared to think of what they have done to Windows 7. lol
Summary is I think google became more stable that you can't change it that easy anymore. SEO's are not making the 100,000 a year anymore. If I am wrong correct me. I have just been out of it too long. I am happy to say my ranking has been stable and well for years now. I think that google now looks at how long a site has been there ranking for the words and how often it updates content. I think it is harder for new sites to get in as it was back in the day. Google now has history to work with that it never had back in the day.
All replys be nice because I have been out of the game for years and this is just my mind dump.
