I'm looking for the best hosting compagny to host my website. It has to be reliable. The compagny must not be one that one day decides to hyjack my website (keeping the website for themselves).

I will send you a PM of who I have used for about 3 yrs now. I had living nightmares with hosting cos until I found this one.
I did have a site that my hosting co ( past hosting co ) claimed as theirs. It was bringing me in about 800.00 a month and I lost everything.

So I can feel for your concerns.

The question is not whats the best hosting. We need more information.

what is yur site architecture
is it a database driven site
is it ecommerce or just information
how much space do you need
is it windows or linux hosting
are you going to run video
do you need an SSL
Do you need a static IP
are you going to manage the site or a 3rd party
does the host offer scalable hosting plans
if your hugely successful, can they offer redundant server farms
what is their support
how is their customer support
how good is ther security
do they use cpanel, plesk or proprietary cp
can you unzip and archive files on the server
do they specialize in the architecture your using
do they actively update their server hardware, software and OS
do they actively update security
ere they a reseller, virtual host, or do they actually have their own facility
what is their backups policy
will they restore your site for you


cheap price does not mean good, unlimited resourses is highly unlikely, no such thing as unlimited disk space and bandwidth.

whats the neighborhood like on the server

Mj - I agree with you that these are very important things to consider. However are you aware that over 1/2 the people that own a web site don't know what most of that stuff means ?

you don't thinK that that is an issue.?

maybe not for a DIY, but for a pro site. you should know it.
