Hello all. I'm looking for some search engines that a really worth submitting to. We submit hundreds of sites a month and need a good list. Thanks.

There is no need to submit to search engines any more.
As long as your site can be found by following a link from another site, you will be added to the search engines database.

This is exactly right spend more time getting your site in directories in different countries. If your site is found in googles backup databases in multiple countries this will help your ranking substantially. Googles Page rank system gives the most points for sites it finds through links. You ultimate goal technicaly is to have your site show up in googles backup database in as many databeases as possible. The non technical solution, make sure there are links to your site from sites that are found in all of googles search engine databases ie google.co.uk, google.au google.ca etc

Oh ya and make sure you add your site to ((URL REMOVED)) as far as up and comming search engines this one is one everyone will be talking about very soon. Take my word for it.

Ryan - care to back up how you know getting indexed in all Google's country indexes will help your efforts to rank well elsewhere?
My opinion, in fact, is that you should only target your local engine. if it's outside North America, I can understand being listed in your local version, and trying for rankings in the .com version, but I personally am not understanding your logic...
...and continually promoting that other search engine seems to me to be self promotional in nature. Not saying it is, but there's no need to multiple plus in so short a time - one post would suffice. 
...and the site in your profile is showing me a plain white, blank page in Firefox and IE...  ...so please forgive me for not running over to the SE you're recommending...
I'm not trying to bust you up here, but can you see how this might seem a bit "promotional" in nature?
If you have proof that your advice about getting listed everywhere in Google works, feel free to share.
My understanding is you can't really be indexed by Google.co.uk as such, if your servers and content reside outside that region - it's kind of the basis behind the whole "local" concept they run with...
I could well be incorrect, so feel free to straighten me out if I am.

I read a lot about this stuff and Hampstead is correct in fact I would say that submitting your site to search engines would be a bad idea you get more credit if they find you. If you are going to submit your site make sure you do it to virtical search engines for example if you have a fishing site look for fishing search engines. I found a nice search portal here www.oono.ca its ok but I dont know about the color. Cheers

I think Search Both is only that search engine which gives result simultaneously of Google and Yahoo by splitting one screen. hope this search engine can solve your problem.

You can go to www.flashcrawler.com. The main directory is on the bottom of the page. Its all free. Main Directory, Personal Page, and Email service. It's secure and very fast search engine.

The site you are promoting is not a search engine, it's a meta search. When will the penny drop that there really is no demand for such things ... and yet there's a new one every three months to replace one from two years ago that gave up.

Try www.sniperpoint.net it gives pretty good search results and I heard that they were gonna launch pretty good marketing campaign to promote Snipe Point.

Why would they bother? No meta search engine has ever succeeded - has anything changed?
Face it, making a meta search engine is a nice college project. Period.
But that doesn't mean it's any better than a single search engine that's known and trusted. And mucking in the results from 61 SEs that no-one's ever heard of will not *improve* the results - or the commercial success - trust me.

Hate to bust your little bubble there Quadrille. www.flashcrawler.com is more then just a meta search engine. It offers 2gb of email space, portal and news. Its unique in those categories compared to other meta search engines. Their are successful meta search engines out there that is very successful. Dogpile to name one.

Dogpile was there many years ago, andis part of the furniture.
Thousands have set up since - most stealing results form the majors.
Name one with any real success that set up within the last 3 or 4 years.
Show me evidence that anyone gives a cus for metasearch - without without the same old gimmicks.

I put up a whole search engine list of all the main search engines as I could not find one on my own.
I've eliminated all the 'suckersearch' engines.
Did I miss any?
I was considering removing webcrawler as it seems to be slowly turning into another 'suckersearch'.

Your subdivisions are weird.
I'd go for a 'top' category of the majors (eg Google, Yahoo, Live and Ask - in that order), and put the parasites, clones, affiliates, metoos and cr*p (eg Alexa) somewhere else. If you look carefully, you'll find that most of your 'all purpose' SEs just aren't.
many that you list in the 'main' category aren't search engines at all, and you seem to have swallowed Gigablast's PR stuff wholesale. Gigablast is NOT a 'unique' SE - it's a meta search.
But don't let my thoughts upset you; another list won't hurt anyone ... though I wonder who'd ever need it?
Don't get me wrong, but why would anyone need to know about (eg) aol search?
Once you have the top 3.5, you have all the SEs you'll need for the foreseeable future (That's next Tuesday week).

Ah, here as well, all talks evolve around googd or bad search engines...Have anyone heard about search engine incubator? I remember reading an article on it at Freepressrelease. As much as I get the idea of incubator, if realized, it can give more access to the web.

That site no longer exists, so could you say what you mean by a search engine incubator?
It means nothing to me, and I'm not sure what relevance it has for webmasters - unless they are laying Search Engine Eggs
Added: Found some stuff on free-press-release.com - I don't think they are the only people working on 'open source' search technology, but it's very, very, very, silly of them to suggest people sell Google shares on that basis.
But from a webmaster POV, it doesn't matter whether the search is open source, closed, or even microsoft - what matters is "Does it bring visitors".
And at this time (and for a goodly while to come), that's a big "no".
I wish them well, however; open source is the future, I've no doubt, and a new generation of real search engines will hopefully convince the "I've done a course and I can make a meta search engine" brigade to give up and go home!
